Kevin Spacey to Star in Comedy "NINE LIVES" from 'Men in Black' Director
The two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey has closed a deal to star in Barry Sonnenfeld’s high-concept comedy "Nine Lives", which is produced and financed by EuropaCorp. Barry Sonnenfeld produced marvellous movies such as " Wild Wild West" or "Men in Black I-III".
Spacey will star in Nine Lives as a workaholic businessman who suffers a terrible accident that leaves him trapped in the body of the family cat. Other details are scarce, but Sonnenfeld is calling it a "funny, emotional, commercial comedy". But given the actor’s masterful aloofness, it could be an ideal role for Spacey.
Spacey has won Oscars for "American Beauty" (2000) and "The Usual Suspects" (1996) and he’s coming off his first Golden Globe win for "House of Cards" (2015) which returned on Netflix with the third season. He also just won a SAG Award for "House of Cards" (2015).
The actor is currently shooting "Elvis & Nixon", in which he will portray President Richard Nixon alongside Michael Shannon and he recently appeared in "Horrible Bosses 2".
