Friendsgiving is the writing-directing debut of comic actress Nicol Paone, who takes a surprisingly charming and hilarious approach to a traditional holiday.

Molly (Malin Akerman) and Abby (Kat Dennings), along with their crew of close friends and acquaintances, host a dysfunctional, comical and chaotic Thanksgiving dinner.

Prorom will release Friendsgiving in Romanian cinemas on July 9.

The film stars Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Edgar Ramirez, Haley Bennett, Olivier Richters, and Jack Black. Directed by Eli Roth, the latest draft of the screenplay is by the two-time Emmy-winning screenwriter Craig Mazin.

Avi Arad and Ari Arad are producing through their Arad Productions banner, with Erik Feig also producing through PICTURESTART. The film’s executive producers are Randy Pitchford, executive producer of the Borderlands video game franchise and founder of the Gearbox Entertainment Company, and Strauss Zelnick, chairman and CEO of Take-Two Interactive.

Based on the best-selling PC and console gaming experience from developer Gearbox Software and publisher 2K, a wholly owned label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Highmore is Thom, a genius engineering graduate whose interest is piqued by the Bank of Spain whose safe, built over 100 years ago, has no blueprints and whose security system includes an underground river that floods the safe room if breached.
